Aldevinco Shopping Center

In all the places to shop here in Davao City, there’s no place quite like Aldevinco. This is the place to visit for all ethnic handmade products.

For more than 40 years, Aldevinco has become a landmark of the city. It showcases the rich culture and heritage of Mindanao through the abundant array of Batik products like bags, dusters, slippers, table cloths, textiles and indigenous musical instruments.

The place actually is a mini-mall with plenty of small stalls. Access is easy because it’s located at the heart of the city along C.M. Recto Avenue. The shopkeepers are friendly and very accomodating and if you are skilled in haggling, you can save lots of shopping money.

Everytime a friend from Manila comes here in Davao for whatever reason, I usually take them here and they’ll just be thrilled at the unique and beautiful handicrafts and the low prices.

I guess that “attractive body” must be your wife’s!!?? Not for sale, I should say. By the way, which is cheaper now, items from the stalls of Aldevinco or at the SM Mall?

JessQ, that’s Peter’s gf, maybe, hahaa! SM and Aldevinco almost have the same price when it comes to Sarong and Batik. But most original ones are found in Aldevinco.

  • Hahaha…this is funny! That photo is actually a product that we sell at 1 World Sarongs.

The model is Nora and is modeling our Aqua Sarong. She still models sometimes and also works for 1 World Sarongs.

We haven’t been to Davao yet but hear it’s lovely. I’m sure you have wonderful sarongs there too…but if you want to get your sarong before you go…come to 1 World Sarongs. Plus you can see lots more beautiful models and pictures.

Peace to you all and enjoy the tropics!

  • I enjoyed shopping in Aldevinco when i went to davao in 2005. I asked my cousin to teach me how to “negotiate” in Bisaya so I guess that’s why i got big discounts. Plus, I went there an hour before closing time. So, the stall owners were more eager to give me a bargain..I think. :D
